Bombarda Rum

Overview

A truly unique and revolutionary rum, Bombarda Rum is based in maritime warfare, sunken galleons, and most of all Cannons. Each bottle of Bombarda is named after a different form of naval arsenal. The Lost Barrel Blends are named after cannons: Culverin, Falconet. And the higher end blends are named for famous vessels such as the Formidable, a 18 - 22 year blend named after the HMS Formidable. Can’t Say Who has had the privilege of developing content as well as printed & digital promotions for Bombarda Rum.

A Journey fit for Pirates

Our first project with Bombarda was to photograph and film the Lost Barrel Blends in a live action - somewhat historically accurate setting. The goal was to recreate a likely scene from the times of nautical exploration and warfare - After a battle commences, a stranded cargo of rum washes ashore on a deserted island. Loaded onto a pontoon barge with 10 old rum barrels, we set out for Marvin Key outside of Key West, Florida to capture this vision. Facing surprises such as intense thunderstorms, a broken GPS, and a coast guard cargo check we prevailed in our mission. This experience was one in a lifetime and formed a lasting bond between Bombarda & Can’t Say Who.
